Chop’d have launched its reusable “keepie bowl” with a loyalty scheme to encourage the reduction in the use of plastic.
It is believed Chop’d are the first company to offer such a service, the bowl is sold for £5.00 and with this the customer receives a loyalty card so they get every tenth salad free when they use the keepie bowl.
Since its launch on Monday 19th February, over 250 have been sold and Chop’d have already had to re order stock to keep up with demand.
Ed Holmes, Managing Director said ‘we love innovation and the great take up in the keepie bowl shows our customers are interested in helping the environment injunction with great tasting healthy food’.
Chop’d was founded in 2004 and has 13 outlets in London together with outlets in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester serving over 20,000 freshly made salads a week. Chop’d has been dedicated to environmental responsibility since its inception offering free extra salads ingredients in return for customers not taking a bag, last year this initiative saved over 250,000 bags being used.
