London, 11th June 2024; WorkL, the home of the World’s Happiest Workplace List, linked to over 5m jobs, and the powerhouse behind the UK’s most prestigious business awards, The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, has raised a Series A round in partnership with Calculus Capital, to expedite its international offering after five successful years of growth.
Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, and his team, have partnered with Calculus to secure a £2m Series A raise, enabling WorkL to accelerate and expand its domestic and international operations which already include the UK, Ireland, the UAE, Australia and South Africa.
Lord Price, formerly Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, Managing Director of Waitrose and Minister of State for Trade and Investment, launched WorkL in 2017, which now helps over 1,000 businesses globally improve the happiness and engagement of their teams and has seen employees from over 70,000 organisations globally take the free Workl Happy at Work Test which helps people determine how happy they are in their current job.
The test, featuring 24 questions, is centred around Lord Price’s renowned employee engagement methodology: Six Steps to Workplace Happiness, which are integral to retaining and recruiting talent. Developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties, the test accurately monitors employee engagement and wellbeing in the workplace.
WorkL’s international growth has been driven by numerous strategic partnerships, including with The Sunday Times to power its annual Sunday Times Best Places to Work Awards. The nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates Britain’s top employers.
