Raindog Films, Calculus portfolio company, founded by Oscar winner Colin Firth and Ged Doherty recently screened their new documentary ‘Hipgnosis’ ahead of its submission to major film festivals. Calculus welcomed a number of guests to the private screening which showcased the new documentary and enabled some Q + A with the Raindog team.

The documentary follows Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson who in 1968 formed design company Hipgnosis – which went on to produce some of the most iconic album sleeves of all time. Hipgnosis designed the most memorable album sleeves for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis and Paul McCartney, including possibly the most famous album cover of all time Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of The Moon’. Many of the top rock bands of the era visited the studio as they became London’s most fashionable album design studio ever. The documentary includes interviews with band members of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Paul Macartney and Wings, 10CC, Oasis and many other rock legends.

Raindog is an example of the entertainment industry exposure that Calculus EIS funds and Calculus VCT offer, they have an extensive slate of upcoming projects that we look forward to seeing.
